The Veronicas' Jessica Origliasso is caught up in the current Australian floods.
The singer - who fronts the band with her twin sister Lisa - told how she is with her parents in Brisbane, which has seen some 30,000 homes flooded leaving at least 14 dead, and many stranded in their homes without access to electricity.
In an interview with radio station Austereo, Jessica said: 'We headed out yesterday and stocked up as much as we could.
'We were actually told that our area wasn't going to lose power so we prepared a little, but it suddenly went out, and we're not sure if it will get turned back on - it probably won't for a fair few days.'
The flood waters are now receding, but leaving large amounts of mud, and a huge clean-up operation for Australia's third largest city, and Jessica is worried she and her sister's instruments and gear could be lost to the flood waters.
She added: 'We have a warehouse that's going to go under that's got a lot of musical equipment. It's a bit unfortunate we weren't able to move it in time.'
Jessica added, however, she is thinking of those less fortunate than herself, and planning to put herself forward to help with the huge clean up.
She added: 'Possessions can be replaced - it's people that can't. We have to do everything we can to keep everyone safe because it's really hard times at the moment.'
Promoter Michael Gudinski is planning a benefit concert for flood relief, entitled Sound Relief 2, which he is hoping to recruit artists including Katy Perry, Kings of Leon, Rihanna, Michael Buble and Usher to perform.
