Anil Kapoor zeroed in for ‘Cities’

Looks like Anil Kapoor is not keen on slamming the brakes when it comes to Hollywood films. Taking a cue from the latest reports, it’s heard that after having shared screen space with Tom Cruise in ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’, Anil has now bagged a coveted role in director Roger Donaldson’s next ‘Cities’.

In Donaldson’s upcoming film, the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star will be seen opposite Hollywood actor Clive Owen.

‘Cities’ filming is set to go on floors only from October, and it will be shot in New York, London and India.

Anil, who never planned his career in Hollywood, seems to have attracted legions of fans after his first stint ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, and it seems that the Golden Globe winner Clive is looking forward to working with the Bollywood star.

Anil Kapoor to promote ‘Cities’ at Cannes

‘Cities’, which is described as a financial thriller, is apparently going to be launched in this year’s Cannes film festival.

It’s reported that Anil Kapoor would be promoting his new Hollywood project in the Cannes market.

‘Cities’ which was written by the writer-director Roger Donaldson supposedly revolves around three concurrent stories about sex, power and greed.

According to the press release, ‘Cities’ producer Matthew Metcalfe stated, “We are very excited to be working with two of the finest cinema talents working in the industry today. Clive is one of the finest actors of his generation, while Roger’s consistent high standards, talent and box office success demonstrates his continued ability to deliver films of the highest international caliber.”

Sonam is waiting to walk red carpet at Cannes

This year will see Anil and Sonam glamming up the red carpet at the Cannes film festival. Sonam, who is eagerly waiting to be present at Cannes, recently stated, “It has always been my dream to walk the red carpet at Cannes and now it’s going to be a reality.”

The actress, who doesn’t want to miss out a chance in Cannes, stated that she is waiting to meet the stars.

“Looking forward to meeting actors and filmmakers from the world over and attending screenings of some interesting films,” said Sonam.
