India prepares list for Pakistan ahead of 26/11 anniversary

New Delhi:  On the second anniversary of its worst-ever terror attack, India will ask Pakistan to hand over all those who allegedly helped plan 26/11.

Sources in the government say India will ask Pakistan to extradite those who helped plan 26/11 and are currently in Pakistan.

The list allegedly includes Hafiz Saeed, the alleged head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, and one of his top commanders, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, who is being tried for 26/11 by a Pakistani court.

The list will also contain names of retired Pakistani army officers involved in 26/11.

The government believes that despite being confronted repeatedly with adequate evidence, Pakistan has failed to take any action against the perpetrators of 26/11.

Close to 166 people were killed in 2008, when ten terrorists sailed into Mumbai from Karachi and unleashed a 72-hour siege across the city.

The list of people that India wants extradited has been handed over by the Home Ministry to the Ministry of External Affairs which in turn will pass the list on to Pakistan.
