Hannah Montana Forever: The Final Chapter

Cast your mind back to your school days and you can probably remember staring out of the window dreaming of becoming a pop star or footballer.

While we may have not been able to live the dream at such a tender age, one American teenager, Hannah Montana, was able to embark on an exciting double life. Her adventures can be followed in her latest series, Hannah Montana Forever.

Since exploding on to our screens in 2006, Hannah Montana, played by US singer Miley Cyrus, has successfully managed to keep her secret identity hidden from the public. By day she is Miley Stewart, a studious teenage schoolgirl who blends in seamlessly with her peers and surroundings. By night, Miley becomes famous singer Hannah Montana, performing to adoring crowds and living the pop star lifestyle.

No-one knows about her secret life apart from her close friends and family, which is quite a feat for someone so young and successful. Her adventures have so far been documented in three TV series and Hannah Montana: The Movie. Hannah Montana Forever, the fourth series, will be the secret pop star's finale on the small screen. With so much to look forward to though, it's not quite time to mourn her absence just yet.

Already airing on the Disney Channel, why not make your experience of the series more interactive by taking advantage of the Hannah Montana games? Remember Rico Suave? Miley's schoolmate, despite being one of the main characters, is the only personality to not know her secret. Known for his role as the young manager of Rico's Surf Shop, fans of the character can have a go at Rico's Surf Shop Challenge. The objective? To beat Rico at his own game and earn more money than he does!

Hannah Montana fans can also play Designer Dreams, where you take the role of fashion designer and devise a new wardrobe for Hannah and Lola Luftnage. Lola, whose real name is Lilly Truscott (and Miley's real-life best friend), is known for her loud wardrobe; which is about as far removed from Lilly's as possible. In addition to her trademark wig, Lola also sports lots of jewellery including rings, large earrings, bangles and necklaces.

With Hannah's stage career partly dependent on her outfits, can you come up with the perfect wardrobe for her and Lola without giving away their true identities? If you want to give Miley and Lilly a makeover, why not take part in Beauty and the Beat. Don't push it too far though; you wouldn't want the pair's alter egos to be rumbled!

If you're a budding interior designer and love decorating as much as fashion, then you can play Roomy Room Re Do, which allows you to help Miley and Lilly decorate the former's room. You can become a part of the closest friendship in the series, with Miley and Lilly having confided in each other since the sixth grade. Can you remember how Lilly discovered Miley's secret? Cast your mind back to the earlier episode where Lilly sneaks into Hannah's dressing room and spots a bracelet that Miley had given to her previously. 

Once you've had your fix of Hannah Montana games, it's time to get on with the TV series. The latest season is expected to be the most exciting yet, featuring guest appearances from singer Sheryl Crow, pop star Iyaz and actor Ray Liotta (he of Goodfellas and Field of Dreams fame).

Filmed between January and May this year, episode one begins as Miley and her family move into their new home. Broadcast in high definition for the first time, problems in Miley's life inevitably begin when she isn't registered for school in time. However, it may just work out that having Miley in school causes even more problems. Will her cover be blown? Will she complete her new album in time? Will she keep her adoring fans happy? There's certainly going to be a few thrills and spills before Hannah Montana calls time on her TV career!

What can we expect from some of the other characters? Well, anyone with an interest in Hannah Montana pictures will instantly recognise Jackson Stewart, Miley's slightly goofy older brother. Despite possessing a few too many bad habits, Jackson is one of Hannah Montana's regular characters. Laid back and casual, Jackson's real motivation lies with impressing the girls, especially through his money-making initiatives. Despite not being blessed with any discernable musical talent, Miley once dreamt that Jackson had turned into rock sensation Bucky Kentucky.

One of the most prominent characters is Oliver Oken. Played by Mitchel Musso, he is Miley and Lilly's male best friend, although he later starts to date the latter. He was introduced as a rather obsessive Hannah Montana fan, although when Miley reveals her night-time identity to Oliver, his obsession stops. After all, his feelings ultimately lie with Lilly. Confident and funny (if a little over flirtatious), Oliver possesses the nickname Locker Man thanks to his ability to open his classmates' jammed lockers with very little effort.

It is friends and relatives like these who allow Miley to keep her feet firmly on the ground. Able to live a remarkable normal daytime life, Miley loves camping, spending time on the beach and struggles with her schoolwork, just like her peers. She is kept in check by her father although one problem remains; she isn't too comfortable with Lilly and Oliver's relationship. Will this come to a head in Hannah Montana Forever? Or will the threesome's dynamic remain the same for the foreseeable future?

Hannah Montana Forever will be as much about its music as its characters. Despite never playing instruments on stage, Miley is an accomplished guitarist and pianist, with one of her prized possessions being a black strat electric guitar named Whammy Bar Wally.

Tune into the Disney Channel to catch up on Hannah Montana's latest adventures. It remains uncertain whether she'll ever make a return, so you wouldn't want to miss out!
