Fashion Week 2 — Day 4
KARACHI: With its indubious glamour and a range of eye-catching sensational artwork Fashion Week 2011 managed to make its mark among the local and well as international industry.
The event organised by Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) and Sunsilk concluded here on Saturday. Art works of six distinguished artists were displayed on the ramp.
On the occasion, PFDC Chairperson Sehyr Saigol said PFDC has brought international media and buyers to all fashion designers of the city. She said that PFDC will again organise a fashion week in Karachi after the upcoming event in Lahore. With outfits of 24 designers models graced the ramp with their elegant and unique posture. Unilever Pakistan Chairman Ehan Malik said, "We along with PFDC organised this event to tell the people across the globe that Pakistan is not about bullets and bombs."
While congratulating the PFDC, he said despite all the problems, which the country is facing PFDC has the courage to promote fashion.
Fashion designers said while talking to Daily Times that with the support of such fashion weeks designers can make profits and earn the country valuable foreign exchange. On the last day of the Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2011 Collections, artworks of six fashion designers including HSY, Ammar Bilal, Sadaf M, Sobia Nazir, Teejays and YBQ were exhibited on the ramp.
