Rai Bachchan: 'Film is tribute to actresses'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has revealed that she spoofs many different actresses from the 1970s in her latest film Action Replayy.

The actress stars with Akshay Kumar in the time-travel movie, which sees her playing a young woman from that period.

In an interview with Real Bollywood, she said: "There isn't any particular actor whom I followed. In terms of visual styling, make-up and hair, there are lots of actresses from that time. 

"There is no signature reference of any particular actor of that time. It's a collage of all actors."

She added that the "retro" film was a refreshing change after making period dramas such asJodhaa Akbar and Umrao Jaan.
