Australian model Lara Bingle dance show With The Stars for being "dull"

IT wasn't so long ago that Todd McKenney made the headlines for a few missteps of his own.
Remember the park bench, a police arrest and ugly allegations of drug use?

Well, it seems McKenney must long for the attention of those days, determined as he is to use his Dancing With The Stars platform to get himself noticed.

Last night, he turned on another with an unfortunate media past, Lara Bingle, savaging the 24-year-old for his attack on her routine last week before her shock exit.

The Shire model enraged McKenney when she questioned the judges for criticising her partner Carmelo Pizzoni for his shirtless appearance not his dance performance.
After delivering a solid waltz, Bingle braced for feedback from a visibly angry McKenney who

told the amateur she was “dull” and lacked “x factor.
Host Dan Macpherson attempted to break the tension by asking if Bingle could learn what McKenney said she lacked, which brought another barb: “only if you turn up” (a swipe at Bingle missing practise last week, due to illness).
He continued the snark-asm when Bingle returned to perform a routine learned within the hour.

Despite overlooking failings in Samantha Armytage's routine, McKenney went for Bingle for disappointing, right down to her flowing hair.

He has found an ally in co-judge Helen Richey, divided with new panellist Josh Horner, who praised Bingle and her partner’s efforts.

The battle sent fans into a frenzy on Twitter, mostly in defence of Bingle and as Macpherson repeated on air telling the judges to “lighten up.”

Fashion designer Peter Morrissey weighed into the TV fight, tweeting: “With those judges comments it should be called ‘Dancing With The Scars.’”
