Bangkok - Shangri La Wing or Krungthep Wing ?
Looking at a two night stay in January at the end of a three week trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. Travelling with my wife and our two boys aged 13 and 15.
Going round in circles at either booking the Horizon Club at the Shangri La Wing or the Krungthep Wing. Initial concern with the Krungthep Wing is comment that the accommodation is now dated and some rooms suffer from nearby traffic noise. On the other hand conscious that busy time of year and Shangri La Wing will be very busy including the breakfast buffet.
Allowing for above any advise from travellers on:
- Recent stays in either option
- Which option may be more suitable as travelling with children ?
- Is it likely offers will come forward later in the year or just as well booking now, as it will be busy season ?
- Any benefit in joining Golden Circle, if that is still an option ?
- Is there another hotel out there that I should consider ?
