LONDON - The controversial British singer Amy Winehouse has canceled all his performances planned for this summer in Europe, including one in Spain, after his disastrous performance last weekend in Serbia, said on Tuesday their spokesperson.
"Amy Winehouse cancels all scheduled performances," said his spokesman, Chris Goodman said in a statement.
"All your surroundings want to do everything possible to help her regain his best form and will be granted as long as is necessary for this to happen," he added.
Among the shows canceled this Tuesday is his presentation BBK Live festival in in Bilbao (northern Spain) where he was headlining the second day, on July 8.
The so-called "trash diva of soul" on Sunday had already canceled two shows scheduled for this week in Turkey and Greece after he was booed and insulted on Saturday night during a presentation in Belgrade which was apparently drunk in front of 20,000 people.
The singer, who underwent several detoxification treatments in recent years, only managed to sing a few snatches of song and left the stage twice staggering.
According to British media, before starting their summer shows in the northern hemisphere, the artist was hospitalized for a week in a detoxification center in London, it seems, on the recommendation of his father who thought he was drinking too much.
