Bon Jovi see off Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney to be

top live act of 2010

AMERICAN rockers Bon Jovi were the top-earning live act of 2010 – raking in £130.7million worldwide.
The band, famous for Livin’ On A Prayer, played a series of sell-out shows at London’s O2 Arena as part of their The Circle world tour.
AC/DC came in at number two with ticket sales totalling £115million, according to music trade publication Pollstar, and Ireland’s U2 slipped from the top spot to number three but still racked up £104.6million.

Flamboyant newcomer Lady Gaga followed in fourth place, with hard-rockers Metallica at number five.
Gaga earned £86.8million, but the singer had to work harder than any other musician in the top 10 playing 138 shows to make her money.
With the exception of Gaga, the old-timers saw off today’s stars at the box office with Michael Buble, Walking With Dinosaurs, Paul McCartney, The Eagles and Roger Waters rounding off the top 10.
