Adnan Sami’s properties confiscated


Pakistani Singer Adnan Sami

Renowned Pakistani Singer Adnan Sami on Monday lost his all immovable properties in India.
Sami’s eight properties and five parking spaces were confiscated by Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday.

The ED has confiscated the properties acquired by the singer under the Foreign Exchange Management Act. After the confiscation, Sami’s properties have now become government properties.

A fine of Rs 20 lakh also slapped on the singer. ED officials said that being a Pakistan citizen, he was not eligible to acquire properties in India.

According to the ED officials, Pakistani singer had acquired eight immovable properties along with five parking spaces in Oberoi Sky Garden housing society in Lokhandwala in 2003.
