Ryan Dunn died as a result of the impact of his car crash, autopsy results have revealed

The Jackass star was killed early on Monday morning after crashing his Porsche GT3 in a Philadelphia suburb.

His passenger, 30-year-old Zachary Hartwell, was also killed by the blunt force trauma of the crash, with the fire that also erupted contributing to their deaths.

TMZ reports that the 34-year-old and his friend were already dead by the time emergency services arrived on the scene.

The Guardian suggested that Dunn was exceeding 100 mph when his car spun out of control and hit a tree.

Suggestions that Dunn was also considerably over the legal drink drive limit will can not be confirmed for at least four to six weeks.

Ryan's brother, Eric Dunn, issued a statement to the Press Association which read: "We appreciate the support of Ryan's fans during this time, and we are grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Ryan will be greatly missed, but he will forever remain in our hearts."

Dunn's co-star Bam Margera has visited the crash site, breaking down in tears.
