Sister Wives Meet New Neighbors: One Neighbor Helps Parent Their Kids? (Video)
The latest Sister Wives episode features a peek at Kody Brown and his wives meeting the neighbors at a neighborhood block party (video).
Watch as the Brown family meets one neighbor, who wasn’t initially so excited about the plural marriage situation of Kody and his Sister Wives.
The woman, named Edna, says, “When I first heard that they were moving into the neighborhood what I had to say was less than gracious.”
She adds, “My daughter, she says, ‘But Mom, they’re grown people that made a conscious decision to live the lifestyle they did and we shouldn’t be judging them just like they shouldn’t be judging us.”
Kody Brown’s newest wife, Robyn, and the neighbor got along well, it turns out, with Edna turning out to be another parent in the neighborhood to look after the Brown’s kids.
Robyn explained, “Edna told me from the very beginning, ‘If I’m yelling at your kids it’s because I want them to be safe and they’re in the street. Everybody around here calls me Grandma.’”
Robyn, shares, “I was like, ‘Awesome. You tell my kids where they’re supposed to be, that’s cool. Keep them out of the street.’”
Of course, Kody and the sister wives had a huge hurdle to overcome when moving into a new neighborhood with their kids, but Kody explains, “I want our neighbors to feel safe with us, too. We’re just looking for tolerance and friendship.”
Does the Sister Wives family get the tolerance they’re looking for? Watch Sister Wives on TLC Sunday at 9 p.m. to find out.
